Now, Our Watch has Ended

So, let's talk about the much anticipated season finale for Game of Thrones . Last night was the last night and the culmination of 8+ years of hard work for all those who were involved in the show. From the crew to the actors and everyone in between, yesterday was farewell. And, now that we are living in a digital media age, the fans' reactions were fast and furious. There were many whom enjoyed the ending, other's not so much (and boy, were they vocal, specially on Twitter!) . The main complaint that I could tell from those who were less impressed with the finale was: Pacing- felt too rushed Story development, specifically the character build up and feeling that it was for nought. Who ended on the "throne" and the fate of the remaining characters. Which, depending on your point of view, they're valid reasons why the fans who were left disappointed can critique it. But here's my OWN point of view (very much MY own) on why this finale was n...

Dearly Departed.

I will admit, I was an absolute mess last night with the third episode of Game of Thrones. I sobbed like a baby with what happened last night, that I'm still processing it all this day. Holy sh*t! So much agony, suspense and surprises. If you haven't seen last night's episode (for whatever reason) proceed at your own risk, because SPOILERS ARE COMING. Here are the casualties in last night "Battle of Winterfell..." TVLine.com Little Lyanna Mormont, the fierce little bear fought bravely and took down Wun-Wun the zombie giant with her, but unfortunately did not make it. And I was hoping (like many people) that she would because she was just a bad-ass in her own right. But sadly, House Mormont is no longer with us. Game of Thrones Wiki Sir Friendzone also perished in last night's episode in the most epic and heroic way possible, protecting his Khaleesi. Yes, Jorah Mormont died protecting the woman he loved. Til' the very end, he fought for...

Winter is Here (SPOILER ALERT)

As most of the world knows by now, yesterday was the premier of Game of Thrones, season 8 and to say the least, it has been one of the most expected seasons for over a year! Usually I don't like to spoil anything for those of you whom might come across my blog, but this time, I'm going to make a bit of the exception to the rule, in that I will basically tell you some of my favorite moments from last night's episode. adventureinpoortaste.com So, this is your one and only... **SPOILER ALERT** 1. Jon Snow returns to Winterfell.... OMG, all that side-eye and shade! The King in the North returns, but now with Daenerys and if only side eyes could kill. No one is really happy about it, but specially the Stark (Sansa, Bran & Arya) whom are really cautious about the arrival of Dany. And can you really blame them after all they've been through? Specially, when some of the Lords in the North decide to sit it out because they feel betrayed by Jon, whom swore to...

Game of Thrones is ruining my life!!

I'M BACK, yes my long absence is inexcusable but my tablet got literally hijacked by a 9 year old all summer long, so I really didn't have any other means to write. Anywhoo, let's start!! OMFG, I'm sure most of you by now have seen the season finale for Game of Thrones season 7, right?! If not, this is your only warning, spoilers (or potential spoilers ahead). As many of you know there was a lot of game changers in last night's episode, and to be honest, it's really one of the best episodes this season. Actually, I am really happy about this season, it really up the ante on moving the story along, pace and character development. Game changing events/revelations:  A Wiki of Ice and Fire- Westeros Most of the audience and the readers knew, or at least we had a pretty good idea (for a while now) of Jon Snow's parentage. And last night, it was finally confirmed via Bran and Sam that indeed, Jon Snow or shall we say, Aegon Targaryen IS the son of ...

Bastards, Dragons & Demi-Gods.

Hello kiddies! Oh how have I missed writing to you guys!! Sorry I have not been able to publish at least once these couple of weeks, and yes, I do remember I did promise you guys to try to publish as much as I had been. Sowwy! It's been a roller coaster for me, from my weird schedule for work, and all the drama that's happen, it has been a bit hard to get my mood into writing. But I'm back!! OMG, there are SOOO many news that I need to tell you guys, if you guys still haven't heard of. So where to start? The Battle of the Bastards O.k. HBO better deliver this very and I mean VERY anticipated battle (after the fiasco with Cleganebowl of last Sunday) and as always, the internet realm is a buzz with theories and expectations for this upcoming battle. Who will win? Who will perish? Well i do hope that is NOT everyone's favorite bastard (and I'm not talking about Ramsay, 😜). Also I'm hoping that Jon Snow will not die, since he technically already d...

HOLD THE DOOR.

I just realized that probably the majority of GOT fans are sadomasichists and we know it. Are you guys still recooperating from last night's episode? Holy Finckle Juice, seriously GOT show runners, you guys just like to torment us with this incredible pain & anguish. So, if you haven't SEEN last night's episode, DO SO NOW, just make sure you have a handfull of kleenex boxes with you because IT IS a tear jerker, in more ways than one. You guys know that I'm not much about spoilers and I try to avoid them like the plague or in this case, like Greyscale. Anywhoo, after last night's GOT episode "The Door," there are probably thousands of theories of what it all means, and this time I'm not so much giving you MY theories, but a realization that I know many will agree with me.  (Source: gameofthrones.wikia.com) If I were to ask you who you think was the most dangerous character in GOT, who would you say? Euron, Yara, LittleFinger, Sir Pou...

By the Old Gods and New!!

Helloo kiddies!!  For those of you who might have bumped into a couple of my posts in the past, you know that 1. I don't like to be a "Debbie Downer" or just mainly a whiner and 2. I am adamant about spoilers. And what does this post have to do with the above mentioned?! Absolutely nothing... just kidding. It actually has to do more with #1 than #2, but I guess #2 sort of ties in, a bit. Anywhoo... my point is that I have a little confession to make, I did not (on purpose) watched at season 5 and some episodes of season 4 of HBO's Game of Thrones. Yes, I know the Old Gods and New will curse me for eternity! And here is one of, or should I say the main reason why I actively decided not to watch, was because the parts of the story line that were introduced by the creative team in the show were just not interesting enough for me and were somewhat infurating to say the least. Yes, I have read ALL of the books and YES, I am aware that HBO and their creative t...

I'M BACK!!

I'M BAACKK!! as many of you can see, after a while of going AWOL on everyone. What happened to me?Where have I been? Did I fall from the face of the earth?! So many questions!! To be honest, for a while I had lost the motivation (and at times the will) to even get out of bed. It's been a long time since I've battled depression and it takes a toll on me at various times.  So, I used this time to just chill, and recuperate in order to have a better outlook on life. So, instead of giving you all a sad sob story, I will spare you guys the details and let's get going to talk about what I love the most...GEEK STUFF/CULTURE/FANDOMS, etc. 1.)  Our Spidey sense are tingling!! For those unaware I have a FB account, and I do subscribe to various outlets of information for Geeks and all about Geek interests, any ways, I'm sure by now, everyone and their mothers' know that Sony has already chosen (officially) a new actor to play Peter Parker/Spider-man. And the l...
