I'm alive!! 💃 and I hope that everyone had a good Labor Day weekend. So, during said weekend (actually, it was a four day weekend for me, I know, lucky) on Sunday, we went to inner city Philly near Queen Village to stop by one of the best and most worthwhile comic stores, Atomic City Comics. Now, for those of you who aren't familiar, Atomic City Comics, is absolutely one of the best comic stores you can possibly visit. It looks small from the outside, and even though it can get a bit crowded, it is always in a hustle and bustle. From the get go, you are greeted with a friendly, genuine smile (Joe was working the register) and he made us feel right at home. One of the first things that he always mentioned to every single customer was, if you have questions, feel free to ask. I loved that! Hey Kiddies!!  Sorry I have been a way for a couple of days, but I've been trying to sort out a couple of things and also not only did FCBD 2016 fall on a Saturday, but the day after was Mother's Day, so i was out celebrating, sowwy.  So, here I go with how I spent my FCBD at my local comic book shop.  For many of you who don't live in the Inland Empire, CA, we've been having extreme weather, so the day of the BIG day, the weather was really menacing. First of all, I probably didn't get too much sleep the night before because I was getting things ready for Saturday, sandwhiches, water bottles, etc. We woke up around 6 AM and quickly got ready and by 6:45ish, we were heading out to our local comic shop. Now, when I mean "local" I mean that this shop is approximately one or two cities away from where we live. But honestly, this is ONE of the best local shops. Hello kiddies!!  As promised I'm back from this year's Comikaze Expo. at the L.A. Covention Center. So, without further delays, here is my review of this year's excellent adventure! 1') Overall Organization- it was well organized, despite being held at a massive place like the L.A. Convention Center. The guide of events and map of the venue was helpful (although, the map was a bit small, that it was hard to read). What made it extremely helpful was that there were signs posted all over the place to guide you and let you make a determination of where you needed to go or be. Parking, despite being $30 fee, it was secure and worth the cost instead of trying to leave your car parked in public places, but risk being vandalized or ticketed.  2.) Staff & Vendors- The staff working this year was enthusiastic, helpful and overall welcoming. If you had any questions they were ready and willing to help.
