Nah, Nah, Nah, NAH Batman

I'm sure by now most of us have heard the news, that it's been officially announced that Robert Pattinson will be the new Batman. And a few of us have been left scratching our heads on this decision. variety.com What is going on over at WB headquarters that they chose to go with Pattinson?! No shade to Robert Pattinson, as a person, but as an actor, let's just say that his roles haven't been memorable for the best reasons. He really can't emote, I'd say he's at par with his former co-star Kristen Stewart, who can't emote even if her life depended on it. I honestly want to think that the person responsible for casting is either high, drunk or naive. Yes, Bruce Wayne is moody, broody, dark... but not obnoxious twinkling vampire moody. What I don't understand is that we know that there have been some couple of misses in their casting choices (for their movies) but there has also been some great choices. Specially when it comes to their t.v...

Changes & Twists

Can we all just get along?!?! A couple of days ago it was officially revealed that the new Doctor would be played by Jodie Whittaker and ALL hell broke loose. The reaction to this news has been overwhelmingly mixed. And to be completely honest, I am getting kinda tired about all those piss boys who just can't seem to get the grip that this is 2017 not 1950. Seriously guys you're that insecure and feel threatened by a female Doctor?! Because it does come down to this: insecurity and fear of being proven wrong. And I'm here to say, GET OVER IT.   BBC Insecure? Yes, these piss boy are insecure of having their gender "stripped" from an important role and see this as an undermining of the Doctor Who series/canon. Well, guess what? Just because you guys have your own personal insecurities about your own masculinity, that doesn't mean that others can't and have the right to succeed even if they aren't MALE gendered. But most of these guys who are ...

LGBTQ representation, Sir Pat Stew & MLP: FIM

Boy do I have news for you guys!! It always brings me an immense joy knowing how our community is slowly but surely (and for the most part) is embracing different individuals from many different walks of life. We within oursleves were outcasts for many many years by the "normal" section of our societies and at times were looked down and made fun of. And it is important that we do not forget where we came from. Individuals who gathered in the confides of their similar thinking peers to play D&D or join a LAN party or LARPing group during your weekends, we were made up of people who came from different backgrounds and partook in "GEEK" interests. And although mainstream has finally catched up to us, and for the most part has started to realize that we weren't losers, but innovators, we need to remember all those who doubted us, and help and embrace others who still have not have had the opportunity to be heard. www.batman-on-film.com Fo...

Mad, Twisted Love

Hello my kiddies!!! Normally, I don't like controversies and I try to steer away from subjects that might rattle people a bit. Specially when it touches beloved characters within the Geek Community.  But lately the treatment of this specific character has irked me enough that I need to share my opinion and get things off my chest. So of whom am I referring about? None other than, Harleen Quinzel, aka, Harley Quinn. Here is my take on latest developments of her character in the media.  Source: nerdist.com For those who might not be fully aware of of her backstory, Dr. Harleen Quinzel was created by Paul Dini (with help of Bruce Time) when they were working on The Batman Adventures series ( subsequently translated to the t.v. show) for the episode of Mad Love, which that was translated directly from he issue of the same name. She was created to be the manipulated hench woman to The Joker. Her backstory is truly tragic, due to going from having a bright future a...
