Oh, the Geekiness!!

I feel like sometimes I just blink for a second, and there are even more exciting news in the world of Geekdom. A New Companion for The Doctor:  So, if you, for some miraculous reason have not heard, over the weekend BBC unveiled not only a teaser spot for the upcoming season 10 of Doctor Who, but a new companion was introduced just along with it. Yes, a NEW companion was introduced. The sky will fall, I know. (Source: metro.co.uk) So far what we know about this new companion is very little, just that her name is Bill and she will be portrayed by Pearl Mackie. What makes Bill so special is that she is a companion of color. Yes, you heard right, Bill is black. She will join the only other companion who was not white (Freema Agyeman). Many news articles have started to praise the BBC decision(with the director/producer) to add Bill into the long and treasured list of companions. From what I can tell, is that I am excited and hopeful to see more diversity on Doctor ...

The Juggernaut Awakens: Walmart vs. Target

Hello kiddies! once again, I find myself bringing you news of what's happening in the magical & fantastical land of Geekdom. As many of you know, not long ago too, I wrote that Walmart announced that it would carry the Covergirl Star Wars make up line in September, which I can safely say that I'm stil super psyched! Well, it appears that Walmart has announced Force Fridays, where they will be selling various merchandise items in the wake of 'The Force Awakens.' here is the link straight from the starwars.com page announcing Walmart's "Force Fridays" http://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-force-awakens-products-to-arrive-on-force-friday-september-4 Source: rebelscum.com. Property of Disney/LucasFilm/ Walmart/Sam Walton And apparently, Walmart is not the only one to partner up with Disney/Lucas and the upcoming franchise. Target is also getting in the fun too! http://nerdist.com/stay-on-target-for-the-star-wars-the-force-awakens-t...

Trailers, Teaser, Surprises, Oh My!! (also known as I wish I had saved up enough money to go to SDCC 2015)

It seriously sucks to be poor. Or at least, not having saved (with enough time) to attend this year's San Diego Comic Con 2015, or as I like to call it, the Mecca of all Geekness/Nerdom! Sadly, I was one of those who posted this:  Sad, but true. So, for all the rest of us who had to hear/read/see about the endless awesomeness of this year's highlights, here is ANOTHER post of what we wished we could have witnessed with our own little twinkling eyes: Star Wars: The Force Awakens & Reunion: So, apparently, during the panel for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Harrison Ford made his appearance after his flight incident along side Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew (yes, Chewbacca, sans furriness) and Wowed the crowd! They also presented a behind the scenes teaser trailer. So, the hype & the waiting game continues and grows! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTNJ51ghzdY ( Source: Star Wars Youtube.com Channel) DC Comics: Batman v. Superman: One of the ...

THE FANDOM AWAKENS!!!!

May the Force be with J.J. ABRAMS!!! So, after so many times being rick-rolled over “official” trailers for the new Star Wars The Force Awakens, it finally happened!!! We finally got an actual snippet of the trailer that has broken the internet since we found out that J.J. Abrams took the helm of this project. Critics (positive and negative) have abound with their opinions about their personal expectations for this upcoming film. And quite frankly, it’s not over possessiveness, but we want justice after the fiasco of the “Special Editions” and the Prequels. Anyways, all around the fringes of cyberspace comments have been made, expectations either have been heightened or completely destroyed, but it seems a lot more real than those pesky “rumors.” And in my most personal opinion, I only have to say this…. I will reserve any comment, judgment on and or about this (or for that matter, any future teasers, trailers, etc.) teaser trailer until right before the first ...
