"It's Morphin' Time!"

This past weekend I (with the family) went to see the Power Rangers Movie and to be quite honest, I absolutely freakin' loved it!! Yes, I am serious and no, I have not lost my mind, lol. The Screen Rant I seriously enjoyed it, and I'm not just saying it because of the fact, like many of you, I grew up watching the original Power Rangers when I was a 'wee' one. I loved the fact that the movie incorporated many of the original elements of the beloved show, but also they re-vamped it to fit in with 2017.  So, here are some of the reasons why I seriously loved this reboot/re-vamping...?! Whatever you wanna call it! O.G.'s with a Twist: When it comes to reboots of beloved or well known shows, many reboots fall into the mistake of wanting to depart soooo much from the original material (it's almost like they are ashamed of the original content) that you are left wondering, what did you just see and why does this new rebooted franchise have the...

Through the Eye of Agamotto

I do hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with food and loved ones! Except I do hope no one ATE their loved ones, because "Ewwww!" Hello kiddies! Now that gobble gobble day is well behind us, many are starting to put their various Xmas decorations and most importantly we are gearing up for the release of Rogue One, but before we get there, like many of you I took this past holiday to FINALLY catch up to the rest of the world and go see Dr. Strange in theaters. And, as many of you can guess, this will be a movie review of sorts. Normally in my movie reviews I make a list of pros and cons, but in this instance I feel like it deserves something different. Why? Well it's not like it was devoid of some cons but it had a different feel to the rest of the MCU. I'll explain:  Source: Den of Geek So far, the MCU has avoided (like the plague, no less) in having to incorporate magic/mysticism in the back stories and rationale of Thor's hammer ...

What Would Dory Do?

Hello Kiddies!! So, of course after the holiday weekend (Fourth of July), it is time to get back into our daily routines, but I am finally able to write yet another entry. So, shall we? As a treat for 4th of July, the Hubby and I (with our Munchkin) decided to finally catch 'Finding Dory' in theaters, so as you guys can imagine, this is my opinion piece of the movie. Although it was a bit less funny than the original, it was definitely more of an emotional journey, not just for Dory but for Marlin & Nemo as well. Throughout the film, we are taken on a rollercoaster ride from funny moments, to tender and back again to charming events. It has a well balanced pace, which makes it not too slow or fast. Dory is not an ecstatic character in this film. Finding Nemo , Dory was the charming comic relief for the more tense parts of the film. With her childlike wonder and whimsy, she teaches (inavertedly) Marlin, to let go a bit and let his son grow up, despite the perils ...

X-MEN: Apocalypse Review.

Hello kiddies!! How was your three day weekend? I hope that those who were able to get some fun in the sun, enjoyed themselves. Anywhoo, so, this past Saturday, I got to go see X-MEN Apocalypse in theaters and although I will not make a synopsis (for those who might not still haven't seen it) but i will give mainly  the pros and cons from the movie. Alright, so let's start! The Pro's: I feel like i need to mention this first because if I don't I won't be able to live with myself, lol. QUICKSILVER!! Despite that this X-Men film was a bit more darker in tone, Quicksilver was absolutely wonderfully used in this film. Mainly because at one point of the film, the audience gets to be reminded of WHY he is called Quicksilver, but it is done, with playfulness (despite the surroundings) and specially with the song they chose to accompany the scene with, it was just very well put together.  The darker tone to the film. it wasn't just a "super hero film...
