Nah, Nah, Nah, NAH Batman

I'm sure by now most of us have heard the news, that it's been officially announced that Robert Pattinson will be the new Batman. And a few of us have been left scratching our heads on this decision. variety.com What is going on over at WB headquarters that they chose to go with Pattinson?! No shade to Robert Pattinson, as a person, but as an actor, let's just say that his roles haven't been memorable for the best reasons. He really can't emote, I'd say he's at par with his former co-star Kristen Stewart, who can't emote even if her life depended on it. I honestly want to think that the person responsible for casting is either high, drunk or naive. Yes, Bruce Wayne is moody, broody, dark... but not obnoxious twinkling vampire moody. What I don't understand is that we know that there have been some couple of misses in their casting choices (for their movies) but there has also been some great choices. Specially when it comes to their t.v...

In Memoriam.

Can we just skip 20116  already?! 😭😭😭 I wish I could bring awesome and happy news all the time, but unfortunately life does not permit. I'm sure most of you know by now that Anton Yelchin, who among many roles, recently portrayed Chekov in the reboot franchise for Star Trek, passed away today at the age of 27. This year has been strenuously hard with the deaths of beloved and talented artist and actors.  Alan Rickman, David Bowie, Prince have all left a wonderful legacy of work for generations to come, and although Anton was young and his legacy not yet complete, he left an undying and irreplaceable work that many of us will continue to enjoy.  I sincerely wish my most deepest condolences to his family and can only say how truly sadden I am for his untimely death.  May time give you the solace  and strength to carry on and may the light and love always embrace you. And for all Trek fans, let's make him proud. (Source: Pinterest.com) **DI...

Oh, the Geekiness!!

I feel like sometimes I just blink for a second, and there are even more exciting news in the world of Geekdom. A New Companion for The Doctor:  So, if you, for some miraculous reason have not heard, over the weekend BBC unveiled not only a teaser spot for the upcoming season 10 of Doctor Who, but a new companion was introduced just along with it. Yes, a NEW companion was introduced. The sky will fall, I know. (Source: metro.co.uk) So far what we know about this new companion is very little, just that her name is Bill and she will be portrayed by Pearl Mackie. What makes Bill so special is that she is a companion of color. Yes, you heard right, Bill is black. She will join the only other companion who was not white (Freema Agyeman). Many news articles have started to praise the BBC decision(with the director/producer) to add Bill into the long and treasured list of companions. From what I can tell, is that I am excited and hopeful to see more diversity on Doctor ...

And the Reboots & Sequels continue!

Here we go again!! As much as I try NOT to sound whiny or have a rant in every stinkin' blog post, sometimes, I just can't help it. I embrace change when it is merited, I think that re-vitalizing certain movies or genre is awesome, specially when the original ones might need some boost or as I like to call it some "Umpf" to them. What I do have a problem is when very successfull CLASSICS that are beloved by MANY many fans get the unnecessary "Umpf" added to them. It is truly a love/hate relationship that I (maybe even many of you share) with reboots/sequels. And how do i know this because today I bring you two excellent examples of my love/hate relationship with the subject matter, lol. GO, GO, RITA REPULSA! If you haven't yet heard the news, recently not only was it unveiled the new Might Morphin Power Rangers logo for the up and coming reboot movie, but also the internet community got to see a first glimpse of Elizabeth Bank's version o...

The simple things (90s, how we miss you!)

Hello kiddies!!! It's great time once again that I will spill once again my thoughts into the collective consciousness of the Internet, ooooooohhhh!!! 😱😏😁 And like any legit source of information, these news come from various sources, that like always will be properly acknowledge. Because let's be real, who really, now a days, truly has original content?! Just kidding!!! ( Please don't sure me 🙏). Back in the 90s Source: collider.com Ok, so who remembers the simpler times better known as the 90s when most of us could not wait for Saturday morning cartoons and when life was much simpler? Yup, I do too! Those simpler years in which our biggest decision was which Power Ranger were we going to pretend to be that day. Well, now that I just mentioned the Power Rangers, I'm sure all of you have heard by now the rumors that a rebooted Power Ranger movie is in the works, or at least it is a project that is being looked at. Well apparently, just recently I found o...

Yesterday was a sad day for the gaming world because it lost a giant: Satoru Iwata died at the age of 55...  Rest in Peace... and thank you for being an integral part of countless of lives through Nintendo and the games that made our childhoods so special! You will truly be missed, and his legacy will live on. Here's an article from CNN detailing this tragic news: http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/13/world/nintendo-ceo/ The outpouring of tributes over flooded the internet (all over). I'm grief stricken and due to the nature of the article, Out of respect, I will make no further comment regarding Mr. Iwata's passing.
