I'M BACK!!

I'M BAACKK!!

as many of you can see, after a while of going AWOL on everyone. What happened to me?Where have I been? Did I fall from the face of the earth?! So many questions!!

To be honest, for a while I had lost the motivation (and at times the will) to even get out of bed. It's been a long time since I've battled depression and it takes a toll on me at various times.

So, I used this time to just chill, and recuperate in order to have a better outlook on life.

So, instead of giving you all a sad sob story, I will spare you guys the details and let's get going to talk about what I love the most...GEEK STUFF/CULTURE/FANDOMS, etc.

1.) Our Spidey sense are tingling!!

For those unaware I have a FB account, and I do subscribe to various outlets of information for Geeks and all about Geek interests, any ways, I'm sure by now, everyone and their mothers' know that Sony has already chosen (officially) a new actor to play Peter Parker/Spider-man. And the lucky lucky winner is Tom Holland!! (for those curious, Marvel.com has an in depth detail announcement, so head over there!) I do sincerely wish Sony/Marvel the best in their new Spider-Man collaboration and will be waiting to go see it!!

2.) Attention ALL game board/Table Top Geeks!!

For those not aware yet, Brotherwise Games, LLC., have finally released their BOSS MONSTER 2 (and yes, it's in your local stores, online, etc). I'm super excited for this, since the Hubby and I own Boss Monster (not including expansion) but we love it! So, of course, we can't wait to acquire our copy of Boss Monster 2 to see the new Bosses, and rest of the new (and improved, I hope) goodies that are in this new version of the game).

3.) Netflix News: The Guild is streaming!

And I'm proud to say that I have gotten my husband hooked on it! Felicia Day is my WCW forever! (due to her absolute overall awesomeness!). So, YAAY! time to binge watch, (although, when we started watching, it said they had all 4 seasons, but when we finished watching first season, it only showed THAT one season, so I do hope it is a Netflix glitch.

4.) Game of Thrones season 5

Ok, so I promise I will not make this a rant, but I have decided that after, following Game of Thrones on HBO for 4 seasons, and reading the various reviews of season 5, I very early on, decided that I would no longer be watching it, just to save my own sanity.

Ok, here's the deal, I've read the books (like sooo many others) and yes, I will admit that I cringed at times when I read the dramatic changes the show made from the books. I'm not going to be here to say how I think the book is better or superior to the show. For those who haven't read the books, but followed the show from the beginning, to them, the changes might not have seen so, cringe-worthy, but lets be honest, for book readers, some of those were. So, I've decided that, since HBO is going one direction and the books another, I prefer to patiently wait (like the rest of the book nerds) for the master to publish his masterpiece and enjoy A Song of Ice and Fire as the author intended it to be.

I'm not going into detail, nor am I going to blame HBO (for understandable reasons, I get why they are doing what they are doing, and in some weird way, I've managed to rationalize it as, their interpretation of Martin's work), nor will I blame George R.R. Martin for taking his time (hey, Michelangelo, didn't paint The Sistine Chapel in a day, right?!) in writing his own masterpiece they way he envisioned.

So, due to that, I unfortunately, will not comment (any further on) about future episodes, seasons (how ever many) of HBO's Game of Thrones.

Sowwy. (sorry)

Oh, and for those who did watch (and are still watching) I join the rest of the world by saying, I seriously don't think Jon Snow is dead. *wink, wink*

Til' next time, pretties!

Gotta Run Away Fast.

We've all seen the trailers for the upcoming release of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu  and most of us have gotten excited to see our favorite Pokemon come to life (CGI, of course) on the big screen. One of the most iconic Pokemon have been Pikachu, and what we've seen, he is stinkingly adorable in anime form or live-action. The animation for the CGI was well handled for what we've been able to gather from the trailers. digitalspy.com So, it makes sense that other production companies want to cash in the nostalgia fever and releases their own spin on classic icons of classic games. But, what in the HECK are you guys thinking at Paramount?!?! About a day ago or so, the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog movie was release, and let me tell you, Sonic looks like something that was brought from the darkest pits of hell. Seriously, what were the animators thinking?! It's not cute, nor endearing, or even worth of the namesake. Newsweek.com Whatever that was, it was...

I Want a Refund

Hello!! O.k, so no I haven't disappeared yet again on you guys, but last week was eventful since, my In-Laws decided to come for an entire week for a much needed family vacation in my neck of the woods. It was a roller coaster, with up's & down's, but overall we all had an enjoyable experience. Except for Friday... On this day, we decided as a family to finally go see Avengers: Endgame  in theaters. So, my husband, along with my MIL, FIL & daughter (and I of course) headed to the movies. In advance, we reserved our tickets, with reserved seating (it was an IMAX theater) and off we went. We decided that we would do one of the last showings just because we already knew that it was a 3 hour long movie, so, we were o.k with that. The movie theater was not full (due to maybe time, etc). So, we went up, took our seats and prepared to be wowed. Maria Rivas/Instagram Nope, we got annoyed. We had noticed that in our same row, there was another small group of ...

Sink your teeth into Castlevania.

It is almost February and within the time that I've been missing, there have been so many news, that it is kind of hard to talk to you guys about everything. Lately, I must admit that I've been in a weird funk of watching interesting shows, movies, that are not necessarily in everyone's radar. Yes, I could talk about the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, or anything else that has been buzzing around the internet. But lately, with all the nay-sayers, I've kinda gotten into this funk of finding lost treasure in shows that might not be well known, or given enough time of day, due to either people not knowing, or just glossing over.  One of those 'diamonds in the rough' that I recently was made aware of is 'Castlevania' on Netflix. There's only two seasons of the animated series, and I basically binged watched season 1 yesterday with the Hubby.  And seriously, if you haven't seen this animated series, it really is damned good. (See w...
