These ARE the Trailers You're Looking For.

It's that time of year again, where those of us mere mortals who for three days will constantly be reminded how poor we are that we aren't at this year's SDCC 2019, yet again 😩😶. Thankfully it IS 2019 and with the help of the magical internet, we are able to still get to enjoy the trailers, sneak peeks that those fortunate souls have seen with their own eyes. So, let's not fret, because this year, has been as promising and super exciting for many fandoms. From Stranger Things ' new season (is it season 4? sorry, not sure) to the trailer of IT  sequel, there have been many reasons why our Geeky hearts have been sent fluttering throughout the weekend. Not to mention the merchandise previews, etc.  There will definitely be many awesome choices to choose coming this Fall 2019 and beyond. What really got me excited was HBO/BBC's trailer for His Dark Materials  series. In the words of Obi-wan Kenobi:  These ARE the droids we're looking for. Yeah, I k...

Tea, Earl Grey...hot.

Set phasers to STUNNED!! 😆 Yesterday, the teaser trailer for the much anticipated return of Jean-Luc Picard was released, and as a devoted Trekkie, specially growing up with Next Generation , I'm absolutely delighted. I'm also intrigued because it seems like the trailer is a direct nod to the final episode for the series, "All Good Things..." . I have so many questions, like, is this a re-con of a possible alternate ending? Can we hope for cameo appearances from other beloved TNG characters? Will Q be in this as well? Seriously, I have so many questions! No less, I'm super psyched to see Patrick Stewart back in the role that he made iconic. There's so many questions that need to be answered (and I'm sure will get the answers too, when the series is released) but for now what is certain that I can't wait to see this series. So, I will leave you with the trailer, and let me know your thoughts. Are you psyched as I am? Leave me a comment bel...

Goblin Kings, Merchandising & Capt.

Good afternoon kiddies! Hopefully you're week has not been as torturous as others. Anywhoo, I'm sorry I kinda went missing for a bit but due to my flunctuating schedule, it was hard to find a bit of time to write. Nevertheless, I am here and ready to bring you interesting topics/news. Let's start... You Remind Me of the Babe: Attention Pop Funko Collectors, if you have no clue, but yesterday, one of our favorite collectible companies announced that they will be releasing in September, official Labyrinth Pop Funkos. So, now for those of us who collect these Pops, we will be able to own our own Jareth, Sarah (with Worm), Ludo & Hogwarts, ahem.. I mean Hoggle. What is more awesome?! Well it looks like Ludo will be a 6" instead of the normal sized collectibles. I'm super psyched!! http://funko.com/blogs/news/coming-soon-labyrinth (Source: funko.com) (Source: funko.com) "Merchandising, Merchandising!!...

In Memoriam.

Can we just skip 20116  already?! 😭😭😭 I wish I could bring awesome and happy news all the time, but unfortunately life does not permit. I'm sure most of you know by now that Anton Yelchin, who among many roles, recently portrayed Chekov in the reboot franchise for Star Trek, passed away today at the age of 27. This year has been strenuously hard with the deaths of beloved and talented artist and actors.  Alan Rickman, David Bowie, Prince have all left a wonderful legacy of work for generations to come, and although Anton was young and his legacy not yet complete, he left an undying and irreplaceable work that many of us will continue to enjoy.  I sincerely wish my most deepest condolences to his family and can only say how truly sadden I am for his untimely death.  May time give you the solace  and strength to carry on and may the light and love always embrace you. And for all Trek fans, let's make him proud. (Source: Pinterest.com) **DI...

Trekkies & Thor.

Hello kiddies!! I do hope all of you had a safe and fun weekend, so once again I am bringing you news that have been circulating on the past couple of days and giving you my take on them. So, we begin: Over the wekeend Trekkies/Trekkers got to finally see a teaser for the upcoming Star Trek Series and a new trailer for Star Trek-Beyond . And let me tell you the buzz that has been generated comes with many mixed reviews/opinions. Ok, so for the series, many people noticed that it had the original loga and soundtrack, and it was assumed that the tv. series will once again focus on the crew of the Enterprise . Despite what the showrunners have said, that the show will focus on a NEW crew & ship. Well, the internet being what it is there are some people who have not taken to this news lightly. Many have spoken up that they feel like the tv. show will basically be a "J.J. Abrams" styled Trek and that the Trek that many fans came to know and love is gone. There were...

Franchises, Celebrations and Competitions.

Hello kiddies!!! Once again I find myself writing to bring you interesting news from our favorite internet sources to keep you (and myself) updated on what's going on in the world of Geekdom/Nerdom. So, let's begin, shall we?! M.A.C. + Star Trek= Fabulousness: For those of you who aren't necessarily Trekkies/Trekkers, this year will mark the 50th anniversary of the premier of Star Trek TOS (The Original Series).  Well it looks like in celebration the the cosmetic line is teaming up with Star Trek and will be releasing make up inspired by the women in the series. I think that it is a fabulous idea! We definitely need representation in this industry.  (Source: twitter.com/Paramount/Roddenberry) Just like last year, Cover Girl in celebration of The Force Awakens released their Star Wars make up line, we need this for long time Trekkies. According to the article, the line was going to be inspired by 7of 9, Uhura, Green Alien, and Deanna Troi. The only 'but...

Star Wars or Star Trek: Which one sets your Geeky heart a flutter?

A couple of days ago, while sitting down and watching Fanboys , got me thinking of the touch-y subject (and at times controversial, I guess) of which one is better, Star Wars or Star Trek? Sure, both franchises have some things in common, like the obvious, both contain Star  in their titles and both revolve around space (and at this point, you maybe yelling at me by saying "No duh"). I promise, this post WILL get better! Ok., aside from the blatantly obvious, both franchises could not be more different. It would be like comparing apples to watermelons. But, I'm not here to discuss the differences, neither am I here to sway you from one or the other. Mainly I'm here to ask you guys, which one and mainly WHY  do you prefer one better than the other? Personally for me, I have so much love for both.  Both were significant and integral parts of my childhood and continue to be. As a child one of my fondest memories is watching reruns of Star ...
