Exuding Geekiness since 1984

So, yesterday was the world premier of Doctor Who series 9, and like many many of my fellow Whovians (and also because I was fortunate to have the day off) I tuned in. And it did not disappoint! So many references, so much drama, oh the feels!! The first episode was appropriately titled.  Source: theregister.co.uk  I think the move of returning the Doctor and Clara where everything (meaning the Great Time War started) with the key players (Davros, Daleks' homeworld, etc.) was excellent. The beginning of the episode, having the Doctor trying to save the unknown child, and all of a sudden getting the 'OH, GOSH' moment when it is revealed who the child really is, creates an instant dilemma for the our Time Lord. And as the episode progresses, we see the shame and urgency of The Doctor who wants to protect Clara and Missy from a battle he knows he needs to face himself. I was debating whether to write a post about Marvel's Agent Carter premier, since I know that there would be innumerable amounts of reviews. I guess that is why I took a week to decide to write this entry. Okay, here I go!! In no particular order of importance (all of them are important) here is a brief countdown to the things that I enjoyed about the premier: 1.  Realistic 1940's everything!! I absolutely loved the detail that goes on to recreating such a nostalgic era. The wardrobe, appliances, lingo from all the characters. The interactions between men and women, that in today's modern world seems sexist, at that time period was the norm. 2. Jarvis!!! Need I say more?! His personality is so well done. His interaction with agent Carter is delicious. They compliment each other. 3. Cameos/references!!
