I Want a Refund

Hello!! O.k, so no I haven't disappeared yet again on you guys, but last week was eventful since, my In-Laws decided to come for an entire week for a much needed family vacation in my neck of the woods. It was a roller coaster, with up's & down's, but overall we all had an enjoyable experience. Except for Friday... On this day, we decided as a family to finally go see Avengers: Endgame  in theaters. So, my husband, along with my MIL, FIL & daughter (and I of course) headed to the movies. In advance, we reserved our tickets, with reserved seating (it was an IMAX theater) and off we went. We decided that we would do one of the last showings just because we already knew that it was a 3 hour long movie, so, we were o.k with that. The movie theater was not full (due to maybe time, etc). So, we went up, took our seats and prepared to be wowed. Maria Rivas/Instagram Nope, we got annoyed. We had noticed that in our same row, there was another small group of ...

A Love Letter to Marvel Fans aka Infinity War.

Sometimes, being spoiler free, is ridiculously hard. Arrghh!! Nevertheless, I still want to maintain my credo of not giving things away and potentially spoiling things for everyone else, so this won't be a ridiculously in depth review about Avengers: Infinity War  it will most certainly be a commentary about my thoughts about the movie (yes, without spoiling the movie, so no, don't get the pitch forks, just yet). Where to start: Pacing... although despite some commentaries on the internet, have griped about the film being "rushed" in my humble opinion, it not so much seemed rushed, more that it had that eminent feel too it. The mood was more of "let's do something about it now... before Thanos gets all the stones" feel to it. But, I think that the film overall had good pacing. There were too many tugged at your heart strings moments, because we've come to love and care for these characters over the past 10 years, so, yes, it is an emotion...

Let's catch up!!

Hello World!!! Yes, I am still very much alive, thank you very much. No, I was not abducted by aliens, nor is it a 'Deep State conspiracy,' the most simple answer I can give you is that I have been working a LOT (yes, in the real world) and by the time I come back home I just sleep. There's pretty much my boring explanation of where I've been for the first three months of 2018 😄. All that put aside, YES, SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED SINCE I'VE BEEN AWAY!!!! and no, I'm not going to even try to catch up, but I will basically start from this point on. I finally got caught up with the MCU and now, I (like the rest of the entire world) is waiting for April in order to watch Infinity War . With that being said, I have my own theories of who will make it out alive and who will not (  I will need to bring lots of tissue paper, cuz' it'll be a cry-fest for me ) IMDb.com Instead of concentrating on who'll die, I want to concentrate on who I ho...

Oh Captain, My Captain!! (my thoughts on 'Civil War')

Hello kiddies! Well I hope that all of you had an awesome weekend doing whatever you liked to do. As for myself, this past Saturday, I was able to finally go to the movie theater and watch 'Captain America: Civil War." And... to be honest, I seriously enoyed it! It was really amazingly done despite the HUGE difference from the comics. And yes I'm aware that many 'fanboys' and 'fangirls' who have read the entire story and the different story arcs were sorely disappointed with how the movie was done.   (Source: comicbook.com) But here in defense of the Russo brothers (like they would need any defending at all) here are some of the changes & main points that I liked about the film. Comic book nods: In the main story arc for 'Civil War' the main incident that triggers all the mess is the death of a young boy who was on a school bus in the wrong place at the wrong time. And thanks to these wanna be, B 'super heroes' who are ju...

The one about: ONLINE COMMENTS & EMBARRASSMENT.

Hello kiddies, it is I once again!! So, let's start! Proceed with Caution:  I seriously try not to sound like an old grump when I'm writing my posts, but sometimes people on the internet just makes you want to endlessly yell at your screen. Like so many of us, yesterday we were treated to the release of the 2nd trailer for 'Civil War,' and yes, it's EPIC! (actually epic does not begin to describe it, but will do). (Source: screencrush.com)  Anywhoo, so after watching the trailer, I did the worst possible thing I could do, I ventured into the comments section. Yes, I know it's my own fault! I will not spoil the trailer (in case any of you have not yet seen it) but there's a huge key player at almost the end of it.  Well, many people startedc to comment and basically assume that, what happened in 'Civil War' (comic) will happen in the cinematic MCU.  People, STOP RIGHT THERE!!! Yes, if you're one of those, please stop! Ma...

Marvel's Agent Carter: Refreshing and Female Empowerment done right.

I was debating whether to write a post about Marvel's Agent Carter premier, since I know that there would be innumerable amounts of reviews. I guess that is why I took a week to decide to write this entry. Okay, here I go!! In no particular order of importance (all of them are important) here is a brief countdown to the things that I enjoyed about the premier: 1.  Realistic 1940's everything!! I absolutely loved the detail that goes on to recreating such a nostalgic era. The wardrobe, appliances, lingo from all the characters. The interactions between men and women, that in today's modern world seems sexist, at that time period was the norm. 2. Jarvis!!! Need I say more?! His personality is so well done. His interaction with agent Carter is delicious. They compliment each other. 3. Cameos/references!! But mostly, what I absolutely loved about the premier is Agent Carter and the way she maintains herself with dignity despite the sexist attitude of the other male ...
