Oh, the Geekiness!!

I feel like sometimes I just blink for a second, and there are even more exciting news in the world of Geekdom. A New Companion for The Doctor:  So, if you, for some miraculous reason have not heard, over the weekend BBC unveiled not only a teaser spot for the upcoming season 10 of Doctor Who, but a new companion was introduced just along with it. Yes, a NEW companion was introduced. The sky will fall, I know. (Source: metro.co.uk) So far what we know about this new companion is very little, just that her name is Bill and she will be portrayed by Pearl Mackie. What makes Bill so special is that she is a companion of color. Yes, you heard right, Bill is black. She will join the only other companion who was not white (Freema Agyeman). Many news articles have started to praise the BBC decision(with the director/producer) to add Bill into the long and treasured list of companions. From what I can tell, is that I am excited and hopeful to see more diversity on Doctor Who

Geeky/Nerdy t-shirt Online Companies Review.

Hello kiddies! One again, it is that time again! (sorry for the semi-rhyme). So, as I have stated before I want this blog not just to be regurgitation of news that I find on the net, but I also want to give my opinions and reviews on things that I am personally familiar with either because I've seen it or have bought them for myself. I've been thinking long and hard about it and I really want to give my opinion on a couple of t-shirt companies that I have acquired their products from, so let's begin! I know that there are a bunch of well known and independent Geek/Nerd tee companies, but the ones I will be reviewing today will be: TeeFury, RiptApparel, and TeeTurtle. You may be asking, why just those? Well because I have personally bought from them more than once and I am very familiar with their assortment, style, quality and shipping process. And I felt that, this will help you guys make a informed decision if it is in case you would like to order from them in

And the Reboots & Sequels continue!

Here we go again!! As much as I try NOT to sound whiny or have a rant in every stinkin' blog post, sometimes, I just can't help it. I embrace change when it is merited, I think that re-vitalizing certain movies or genre is awesome, specially when the original ones might need some boost or as I like to call it some "Umpf" to them. What I do have a problem is when very successfull CLASSICS that are beloved by MANY many fans get the unnecessary "Umpf" added to them. It is truly a love/hate relationship that I (maybe even many of you share) with reboots/sequels. And how do i know this because today I bring you two excellent examples of my love/hate relationship with the subject matter, lol. GO, GO, RITA REPULSA! If you haven't yet heard the news, recently not only was it unveiled the new Might Morphin Power Rangers logo for the up and coming reboot movie, but also the internet community got to see a first glimpse of Elizabeth Bank's version o

I Need to Win the Lotto, ASAP.

Hello Kiddies! I hope that you guys (yes, you who took time from their busy schedule to read my shenanigans) had an awesome weekend. Or at least I'm hoping that your weekend wasn't as torturous as it would be (for those of us who STILL have work on weekends), anywhoo, so, lets get down to business! Over the years, I have had the faintest idea ::: insert sarcasm ::: that being a Geek/Nerd is not only incredfible fun, but also seriously dangerous to my wallet. Why do i say this? Because, as much as I love knowing that collectible, clothing, accessories are more and more accessible now a days, it has also started to be a bit heavier on my $$. Now, I don't go buy EVERYTHING and ANYTHING that comes out that is Nerd/Geek related, but the items that I do buy, aren't necessarily too expensive or cheap, they're just a bit too many, lol. By  all means I AM not whinning, but I do like to joke, that being a Geek/Nerd is not only NOT for the weak but for the penniless. S

By the Old Gods and New!!

Helloo kiddies!!  For those of you who might have bumped into a couple of my posts in the past, you know that 1. I don't like to be a "Debbie Downer" or just mainly a whiner and 2. I am adamant about spoilers. And what does this post have to do with the above mentioned?! Absolutely nothing... just kidding. It actually has to do more with #1 than #2, but I guess #2 sort of ties in, a bit. Anywhoo... my point is that I have a little confession to make, I did not (on purpose) watched at season 5 and some episodes of season 4 of HBO's Game of Thrones. Yes, I know the Old Gods and New will curse me for eternity! And here is one of, or should I say the main reason why I actively decided not to watch, was because the parts of the story line that were introduced by the creative team in the show were just not interesting enough for me and were somewhat infurating to say the least. Yes, I have read ALL of the books and YES, I am aware that HBO and their creative t

Gaming for Dummies... (just kidding about the dummy part)

Hello kiddies! I had recently noticed that although I had brought to you guys news about upcoming films, premiers, etc. I hadn't exactly branched out and mainly have gotten stuck in one area of our community. That is NOT what I want to do. I most definitely enjoy bringing you guys news about upcoming films and whatnot, but there is so much more to explore. So, yesterday I was thinking about a new subject area that I could possibly write about and I came across table top gaming. As most of you know there are a lot of types of 'gamers,' there are the MMO-RPG enthusiasts (WoW, Arcane Legends, League of Legends, etc), let us not forget the console users, like XBOX, Playstation, Old school cartridge gamers (Sega, Nintendo, etc), and although there is absolutely nothing wrong with either, my absolute favorite type of gaming is known as table top.  Now, for those newbies out there, what is table top? Well we all enjoyed board games when we were young, Monopoly
