Hello!! O.k, so no I haven't disappeared yet again on you guys, but last week was eventful since, my In-Laws decided to come for an entire week for a much needed family vacation in my neck of the woods. It was a roller coaster, with up's & down's, but overall we all had an enjoyable experience. Except for Friday... On this day, we decided as a family to finally go see Avengers: Endgame  in theaters. So, my husband, along with my MIL, FIL & daughter (and I of course) headed to the movies. In advance, we reserved our tickets, with reserved seating (it was an IMAX theater) and off we went. We decided that we would do one of the last showings just because we already knew that it was a 3 hour long movie, so, we were o.k with that. The movie theater was not full (due to maybe time, etc). We've all seen the trailers for the upcoming release of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu  and most of us have gotten excited to see our favorite Pokemon come to life (CGI, of course) on the big screen. One of the most iconic Pokemon have been Pikachu, and what we've seen, he is stinkingly adorable in anime form or live-action. The animation for the CGI was well handled for what we've been able to gather from the trailers. digitalspy.com So, it makes sense that other production companies want to cash in the nostalgia fever and releases their own spin on classic icons of classic games. But, what in the HECK are you guys thinking at Paramount?!?! About a day ago or so, the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog movie was release, and let me tell you, Sonic looks like something that was brought from the darkest pits of hell. I will admit, I was an absolute mess last night with the third episode of Game of Thrones. I sobbed like a baby with what happened last night, that I'm still processing it all this day. Holy sh*t! So much agony, suspense and surprises. If you haven't seen last night's episode (for whatever reason) proceed at your own risk, because SPOILERS ARE COMING. Ever since 'The Force Awakens,' which without a doubt an absolute hit, there's one person who has benefited from this renewed interest in the saga, that person being the great Mark Hamill. And in my personal opinion it is well overdue. He's a fabulous actor, who for awhile was overshadowed by Harrison Ford's action-adventure career. Not to throw any shade at Mr. Ford, he's also a wonderful actor, but Mark was overshadowed, and at a point, unfortunately type-casted, until he shined with his voice-acting chops as The Joker in the much beloved 90's cartoon, Batman: The Animated Series.  From then on, he's been working with his talented voice doing many memorable voice overs, but once The Force Awakened, it's like a renewed interest in Mark, as more than a voice-actor has put him back into the spotlight. Which I am absolutely thrilled as a long time fan of Mr. Hamill (and yes, Luke forever will be my MCM) it brings me joy seeing him more constantly...

As most of the world knows by now, yesterday was the premier of Game of Thrones, season 8 and to say the least, it has been one of the most expected seasons for over a year! Phew! It's been a while since I posted on here. No, I have not forgotten about this blog, and yes, I'm still writing on it because it's fun. WoW has kinda taken over my free time to be honest (No, I don't have a problem, lol) and also just life in general has been a roller coaster, specially these past couple of weeks. And even though I've come to terms and acceptance with my geekiness, that doesn't mean that my daughter has to be one as well. But, as all parents do, I like to share with her things that I think she might enjoy. We (the Mr. and I) got her into WoW, because she developed a genuine curiosity for it. I didn't coarse her or influence her into it. It is almost February and within the time that I've been missing, there have been so many news, that it is kind of hard to talk to you guys about everything. Lately, I must admit that I've been in a weird funk of watching interesting shows, movies, that are not necessarily in everyone's radar. Yes, I could talk about the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, or anything else that has been buzzing around the internet. But lately, with all the nay-sayers, I've kinda gotten into this funk of finding lost treasure in shows that might not be well known, or given enough time of day, due to either people not knowing, or just glossing over.  One of those 'diamonds in the rough' that I recently was made aware of is 'Castlevania' on Netflix.
