Gotta Run Away Fast.

We've all seen the trailers for the upcoming release of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu and most of us have gotten excited to see our favorite Pokemon come to life (CGI, of course) on the big screen.

One of the most iconic Pokemon have been Pikachu, and what we've seen, he is stinkingly adorable in anime form or live-action. The animation for the CGI was well handled for what we've been able to gather from the trailers.

So, it makes sense that other production companies want to cash in the nostalgia fever and releases their own spin on classic icons of classic games.

But, what in the HECK are you guys thinking at Paramount?!?!

About a day ago or so, the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog movie was release, and let me tell you, Sonic looks like something that was brought from the darkest pits of hell.

Seriously, what were the animators thinking?! It's not cute, nor endearing, or even worth of the namesake.

Whatever that was, it was better left dead.

Also, unlike Detective Pikachu, from what I could gather of the trailer, the story really didn't seem to appeal to me.

It's one of those reactions of "I'll just redbox it."

It really is a shame because in the 90's you either were a Nintendo kid or a Sega, and Sonic is the Pikachu of Sega. So, it's really unfortunate that he didn't get the same quality treatment as Pikachu did.

Seriously, it's nightmare inducing....

Sink your teeth into Castlevania.

It is almost February and within the time that I've been missing, there have been so many news, that it is kind of hard to talk to you guys about everything. Lately, I must admit that I've been in a weird funk of watching interesting shows, movies, that are not necessarily in everyone's radar. Yes, I could talk about the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, or anything else that has been buzzing around the internet. But lately, with all the nay-sayers, I've kinda gotten into this funk of finding lost treasure in shows that might not be well known, or given enough time of day, due to either people not knowing, or just glossing over. One of those 'diamonds in the rough' that I recently was made aware of is 'Castlevania' on Netflix. Not your Mother's She-Ra.

On November 13, Netflix finally premiered 'She-Ra & The Princesses of Power.' Not sure if it was long awaited (for other people, I was absolutely waiting for this!) and even before it was released it was met with a bit of controversy due to the new styling. Well, my daughter and I sat to binge watched season 1 and let me tell you, it was absolutely perfectly well balanced. For those of us old enough to remember the original series, there are tons of references to characters, events, etc. It doesn't dwell too much into, but it gives a respectful nod to the original series. It isn't a carbon copy of the 80's She-ra and it isn't completely different (I'm assuming this was done for the 'nay-sayers.').
