These ARE the Trailers You're Looking For.

It's that time of year again, where those of us mere mortals who for three days will constantly be reminded how poor we are that we aren't at this year's SDCC 2019, yet again 😩😶. Thankfully it IS 2019 and with the help of the magical internet, we are able to still get to enjoy the trailers, sneak peeks that those fortunate souls have seen with their own eyes.

So, let's not fret, because this year, has been as promising and super exciting for many fandoms.

From Stranger Things' new season (is it season 4? sorry, not sure) to the trailer of IT sequel, there have been many reasons why our Geeky hearts have been sent fluttering throughout the weekend. Not to mention the merchandise previews, etc.

There will definitely be many awesome choices to choose coming this Fall 2019 and beyond. What really got me excited was HBO/BBC's trailer for His Dark Materials series. In the words of Obi-wan Kenobi:

These ARE the droids we're looking for.

Yeah, I know that's not the exact quote, but you get the picture! 😉

The trailer for the first season looks absolutely fantastic, unlike the sorry attempt of The Golden Compass a few years ago. This new series looks much, MUCH closer to what many of us imagined it to be while reading the book. It's dark, potent and absolutely hits the mood of the entire series it is based on. Not to mention the stellar cast that brings to life the characters, I would be absolutely shocked if this isn't a hit.

So, since this is being helmed both by the BBC & HBO, can the 'GOT' fans now forgive HBO for season 8? Maybe? Hopefully?

Speaking also about trailers...

Another trailer that made my fan-girling screams come to inaudible shrieks was the full trailer for Star Trek: Picard series.

Boy, I have never so happy to be absolutely wrong about my "assessment" of the sneak peek trailer! I am super psyched that the series looks to be worthy of carrying in it's title Picard. I absolutely loved the tone and the different references to not only The Next Generation series, but also to the continuation of the film franchise.

One of the definite highlights of the trailer is seeing Jeri Ryan back as 7 of 9 and not to mention the cameo from Brent Spinner himself as Data. At that moment I seriously lost control and shrieked so much that I scared my poor cat!

Again, thanks to the magic of the internet, the rest of us unfortunate souls that couldn't make it out to SDCC can also enjoy exclusives without all those long lines, sweaty bodies, expensive hotels, etc., and enjoy trailers in the comfort of our own miserable homes.

We've all seen the trailers for the upcoming release of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu and most of us have gotten excited to see our favorite Pokemon come to life (CGI, of course) on the big screen. One of the most iconic Pokemon have been Pikachu, and what we've seen, he is stinkingly adorable in anime form or live-action. The animation for the CGI was well handled for what we've been able to gather from the trailers. digitalspy.com So, it makes sense that other production companies want to cash in the nostalgia fever and releases their own spin on classic icons of classic games. But, what in the HECK are you guys thinking at Paramount?!?! About a day ago or so, the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog movie was release, and let me tell you, Sonic looks like something that was brought from the darkest pits of hell. I Want a Refund

Hello!! O.k, so no I haven't disappeared yet again on you guys, but last week was eventful since, my In-Laws decided to come for an entire week for a much needed family vacation in my neck of the woods. It was a roller coaster, with up's & down's, but overall we all had an enjoyable experience. Except for Friday... On this day, we decided as a family to finally go see Avengers: Endgame in theaters. So, my husband, along with my MIL, FIL & daughter (and I of course) headed to the movies. In advance, we reserved our tickets, with reserved seating (it was an IMAX theater) and off we went. We decided that we would do one of the last showings just because we already knew that it was a 3 hour long movie, so, we were o.k with that. The movie theater was not full (due to maybe time, etc). Sink your teeth into Castlevania.

It is almost February and within the time that I've been missing, there have been so many news, that it is kind of hard to talk to you guys about everything. Lately, I must admit that I've been in a weird funk of watching interesting shows, movies, that are not necessarily in everyone's radar. Yes, I could talk about the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, or anything else that has been buzzing around the internet. But lately, with all the nay-sayers, I've kinda gotten into this funk of finding lost treasure in shows that might not be well known, or given enough time of day, due to either people not knowing, or just glossing over.
