A Love Letter to Marvel Fans aka Infinity War.

Sometimes, being spoiler free, is ridiculously hard. Arrghh!!

Nevertheless, I still want to maintain my credo of not giving things away and potentially spoiling things for everyone else, so this won't be a ridiculously in depth review about Avengers: Infinity War it will most certainly be a commentary about my thoughts about the movie (yes, without spoiling the movie, so no, don't get the pitch forks, just yet).

Where to start:

Pacing... although despite some commentaries on the internet, have griped about the film being "rushed" in my humble opinion, it not so much seemed rushed, more that it had that eminent feel too it. The mood was more of "let's do something about it now... before Thanos gets all the stones" feel to it. But, I think that the film overall had good pacing. There were too many tugged at your heart strings moments, because we've come to love and care for these characters over the past 10 years, so, yes, it is an emotional ride. The balance between humor and seriousness was great, it didn't over power the intensity of the movie, but it also didn't make it feel like this was a goofball movie. I think, that most fans are very well aware when they are about to sit and watch know that this movie will be intense, and it delivers. But there's also a very deep emotional connection, and that's my second point.

Intimacy, no I'm not talking about people getting their sexy on, but the kind of relationship intimacy (not necessarily romantic, but there are some romance). Some of these characters have developed as they have evolved within their story arch, with deep emotional connections with other characters, and this film feels deeply personal. It brings a lot of these characters to make very crucial and dire sacrifices in order to accomplish tasks/motives. It connects characters in a deeper personal levels that test them, which I absolutely enjoyed and I think many in the audience did too.We all felt for them as they made difficult decisions and that emotional investment connects the story even more with the audience.

Now, let's talk about Thanos (without really talking about him, yeah I know!!) To be honest, when the first photo was released of accomplish this (thanks to Josh Brolin, lol). His character is not just Thanos for Infinity War, I absolutely laughed my butt off. Seriously, he looked ridiculous, and I was then worried that his non-menacing look might affect the movie. But, I take it back, he didn't have to be scary looking or overpowering menacing to accomplish this (thanks to Josh Brolin, lol). His character is not just some power hungry dumb villain, there is depth to his character, complex that at times, you understand (not so much justify his madness) where he is coming from.

So, overall, I urge you guys to go see the movie, because it is the most fun, roller-coaster of a film that is basically a love letter to al the fans whom have followed for 10 years now. We couldn't haven't gotten anything  better than this. It has humor, emotional depth, action/adventure, it really is such a fantastic film.

Phew, I made it without spoiling anything (I hope, but seriously, I really think that for those who haven't had the chance to see it, will have the opportunity to see it without intrusion of other people. So, now I will not be that person, because, Thanos demands my silence!

And FYI, there are cameos in the movie, that are awesomely delightful, too.

So, what are you waiting for?! Go, see it now!!

Gotta Run Away Fast.

We've all seen the trailers for the upcoming release of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu  and most of us have gotten excited to see our favorite Pokemon come to life (CGI, of course) on the big screen. One of the most iconic Pokemon have been Pikachu, and what we've seen, he is stinkingly adorable in anime form or live-action. The animation for the CGI was well handled for what we've been able to gather from the trailers. digitalspy.com So, it makes sense that other production companies want to cash in the nostalgia fever and releases their own spin on classic icons of classic games. But, what in the HECK are you guys thinking at Paramount?!?! About a day ago or so, the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog movie was release, and let me tell you, Sonic looks like something that was brought from the darkest pits of hell. Seriously, what were the animators thinking?! It's not cute, nor endearing, or even worth of the namesake. Newsweek.com Whatever that was, it was...

I Want a Refund

Hello!! O.k, so no I haven't disappeared yet again on you guys, but last week was eventful since, my In-Laws decided to come for an entire week for a much needed family vacation in my neck of the woods. It was a roller coaster, with up's & down's, but overall we all had an enjoyable experience. Except for Friday... On this day, we decided as a family to finally go see Avengers: Endgame  in theaters. So, my husband, along with my MIL, FIL & daughter (and I of course) headed to the movies. In advance, we reserved our tickets, with reserved seating (it was an IMAX theater) and off we went. We decided that we would do one of the last showings just because we already knew that it was a 3 hour long movie, so, we were o.k with that. The movie theater was not full (due to maybe time, etc). So, we went up, took our seats and prepared to be wowed. Maria Rivas/Instagram Nope, we got annoyed. We had noticed that in our same row, there was another small group of ...

Sink your teeth into Castlevania.

It is almost February and within the time that I've been missing, there have been so many news, that it is kind of hard to talk to you guys about everything. Lately, I must admit that I've been in a weird funk of watching interesting shows, movies, that are not necessarily in everyone's radar. Yes, I could talk about the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, or anything else that has been buzzing around the internet. But lately, with all the nay-sayers, I've kinda gotten into this funk of finding lost treasure in shows that might not be well known, or given enough time of day, due to either people not knowing, or just glossing over.  One of those 'diamonds in the rough' that I recently was made aware of is 'Castlevania' on Netflix. There's only two seasons of the animated series, and I basically binged watched season 1 yesterday with the Hubby.  And seriously, if you haven't seen this animated series, it really is damned good. (See w...
