Let's not get Carried away.

While rummaging around the internet, as one does, I found a really distressing rumor/idea/proposal of a petition to ask Meryl Streep to be General Leia in the upcoming Star Wars installment.

Yup, if you haven't heard this news by now, um, where have you been living?!

But in all seriousness, SAY WHAT?!

Whomever thought this was a good idea, NEEDS TO STOP.

Don't get me wrong, I love Meryl Streep just like the next person. I think she's a wonderful actress who can either play loving mothers, or downright b*tches. And this has NOTHING to do with her quality of work, or as a personal friend of the late Carrie Fisher, but SERIOUSLY?!

Ok, we get it, she played a 'version' of Carrie Fisher in 'Postcards from the Edge' but how does this qualify her to don the magnificent dresses and iconic status of General Leia Organa Solo?! In what universe? Was the person who came up with this idea, drunk at the time?

Princess/General Leia is an icon, she's an inspiration to many and with the passing of our beloved Carrie, her shoes are irreplaceable.

The problem arises that LucasFilm, Kathleen Kennedy have already made it clear that they will not be using a CGI Leia, this has already been discarded, but how to incorporate Leia, when Carrie is gone?

And although the next installment of the movie, would have focused on her story arch, it's still not completely impossible to have her be the focus and inspiration of the next installment, if it is done correctly.

Having her character die within the story can be a catapult for the story, the last hope of the resistance is gone, but the heroes who knew her can carry on her legacy. Something, of sorts...
Or how about her light inspiring the least likely character (ahem, Billie Lourd's character) to rise up and continue fighting for what Leia stood for. I think this would be an amazing honor and homage to her late mother, since, she would be better to carry the legacy, of Leia. But also not making her a second Leia, making her own unique character carry on the torch of the resistance.

I mean, something creative, and not putting another actress to BE LEIA.

Apparently, I'm not the only one who has been super vocal about not casting Streep for the role. The one and only Mark Hamill has also been, uber vocal against it. And quite frankly, I do not blame him. The scariest part is that this petition has gained traction, so it makes you think if that all those collective drunk weirdos who think this might be a good idea, may sway LucasFilm/Disney to green lit this disaster.

I sure hope not, because, at least for me, this would be the camel that breaks my back, and boycott the film. Granted, not the franchise, but the next installment.

But replacing her with Meryl Streep (or for that matter, any other actress) is an injustice to Carrie Fisher's memory.

So, whomever decided this preposterous idea, I say to you "Dishonor on You, Dishonor on Your Cow!!" ðŸ˜ ðŸ˜ ðŸ˜ ðŸ˜

Gotta Run Away Fast.

We've all seen the trailers for the upcoming release of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu  and most of us have gotten excited to see our favorite Pokemon come to life (CGI, of course) on the big screen. One of the most iconic Pokemon have been Pikachu, and what we've seen, he is stinkingly adorable in anime form or live-action. The animation for the CGI was well handled for what we've been able to gather from the trailers. digitalspy.com So, it makes sense that other production companies want to cash in the nostalgia fever and releases their own spin on classic icons of classic games. But, what in the HECK are you guys thinking at Paramount?!?! About a day ago or so, the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog movie was release, and let me tell you, Sonic looks like something that was brought from the darkest pits of hell. Seriously, what were the animators thinking?! It's not cute, nor endearing, or even worth of the namesake. Newsweek.com Whatever that was, it was

Sink your teeth into Castlevania.

It is almost February and within the time that I've been missing, there have been so many news, that it is kind of hard to talk to you guys about everything. Lately, I must admit that I've been in a weird funk of watching interesting shows, movies, that are not necessarily in everyone's radar. Yes, I could talk about the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, or anything else that has been buzzing around the internet. But lately, with all the nay-sayers, I've kinda gotten into this funk of finding lost treasure in shows that might not be well known, or given enough time of day, due to either people not knowing, or just glossing over.  One of those 'diamonds in the rough' that I recently was made aware of is 'Castlevania' on Netflix. There's only two seasons of the animated series, and I basically binged watched season 1 yesterday with the Hubby.  And seriously, if you haven't seen this animated series, it really is damned good. I Want a Refund

Hello!! O.k, so no I haven't disappeared yet again on you guys, but last week was eventful since, my In-Laws decided to come for an entire week for a much needed family vacation in my neck of the woods. It was a roller coaster, with up's & down's, but overall we all had an enjoyable experience. Except for Friday... On this day, we decided as a family to finally go see Avengers: Endgame  in theaters. So, my husband, along with my MIL, FIL & daughter (and I of course) headed to the movies. In advance, we reserved our tickets, with reserved seating (it was an IMAX theater) and off we went. We decided that we would do one of the last showings just because we already knew that it was a 3 hour long movie, so, we were o.k with that. The movie theater was not full (due to maybe time, etc). So, we went up, took our seats and prepared to be wowed. Maria Rivas/Instagram Nope, we got annoyed. We had noticed that in our same row, there was another small group of
