Gotham Girls Makeup Collection

Hello kiddies!! Yes, I know it's been a long time since I've posted anything. No I have not died nor have I lost interest in blogging.

Partially it has not been my fault for why I went missing for a bit and here is why, first my daughter took the liberty to break my keyboard and since a few months back, my 7in. tablet has been keyboard less, so right now I have been doing the trusty "chicken peck" and typing each word on my tablet. Which as you guys can imagine it's absolutely ridiculous, lol.

Secondly, I am in the middle of packing myself and my family across the country in order to move within a month's time to the East Coast, more precisely, PA. So, as you can imagine most of my swing hours, I pack, pack, sort and what not to get everything ready for the big move.

No, I'm not trying to excuse myself and would like to apologize for abandoning you guys, it truly feels like I did. I will try to post more often, while I move, but I am definitely looking forward to finally settling down again and routinely blog with you guys.

For the meantime, in penance for leaving you guys without any news, I am bringing you an amazing article, but in a way a review about products that I know deserve the attention.

Let me start off that if it wasn't for news, I would have never known about this. As you guys can guess the line is called, "Gotham Girls" and it is being distributed by Walgreens stores. And what is all the hubba-baloo about? Well, it is a cosmetic line that just came out that caters to budget friendly Geek girls

This line is made up of make up brushes, cosmetic bags, lip glosses, nail polishes and eyeshadow palettes. Yes, it is a almost compete line that have Barely Quinn, Catwoman and Batgirl  themed items.

Thanks to the wonderful world of the. Internet, as soon as I heard about the line, I drove my butt to my nearest Walgreens and went to see for myself.

Granted, that when I arrived, I had to ask one of the employees if this line was being carried at this particular store, he was super kind and actually took me to where the items were located.

And lo' and behold! Before my eyes, there, the makeup brushes, nail polish and cosmetic bags were there, in front of me.

Since, I bite my nails ( which I need to stop) I grabbed the makeup brushes instead,  proceed to pay and get home as fast as I can to try them out.

The brushes come in sets of three, four.

Harley Quinn theme set:

  • All over face brush, for blush, bronzers, mineral and powder foundations.
  • Curved Foundation for liquid product.
  • Angled brow brush.
Batgirl theme set:

  • Stippling brush for contouring powder.
  • Angled buff brush to soften harsh lines from the contour.
  • Concealer brush.
Catwoman theme set:

  • Eyeshadow brush for eyeshadow base application.
  • Crease brush .
  • Pointed eyeliner brush for cream eyeliner.
  • Brow brush.
  • Brow groomer.
Of course, I immediately had to try them on, and to be honest for the set to be sold at Walgreens , I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bristles and overall design. If you are expecting a high end brush, you might have issues with them. But if you're budget friendly and want good quality brushes, I really recommend them.

I have been using them constantly and have not had any issues with them. The products go on smoothly and at the end of it, ideally like the results.
After applying makeup with brushes.

I do recommend that if you guys want to check them out, you might want to go to various nearby stores, since not one single store might not carry the entire line.

The store that I went to did not have the eyeshadow or the lipgloss.
The price for each makeup set was $9.99, plus tax, so the total for all three was about $30.00.
Personally, I think that is definitely not a bad price.

Anyways, hope you made it through and I will leave you guys with the article and pictures of the brush sets.

Gotta Run Away Fast.

We've all seen the trailers for the upcoming release of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu  and most of us have gotten excited to see our favorite Pokemon come to life (CGI, of course) on the big screen. One of the most iconic Pokemon have been Pikachu, and what we've seen, he is stinkingly adorable in anime form or live-action. The animation for the CGI was well handled for what we've been able to gather from the trailers. digitalspy.com So, it makes sense that other production companies want to cash in the nostalgia fever and releases their own spin on classic icons of classic games. But, what in the HECK are you guys thinking at Paramount?!?! About a day ago or so, the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog movie was release, and let me tell you, Sonic looks like something that was brought from the darkest pits of hell. Seriously, what were the animators thinking?! It's not cute, nor endearing, or even worth of the namesake. Newsweek.com Whatever that was, it was

Sink your teeth into Castlevania.

It is almost February and within the time that I've been missing, there have been so many news, that it is kind of hard to talk to you guys about everything. Lately, I must admit that I've been in a weird funk of watching interesting shows, movies, that are not necessarily in everyone's radar. Yes, I could talk about the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, or anything else that has been buzzing around the internet. But lately, with all the nay-sayers, I've kinda gotten into this funk of finding lost treasure in shows that might not be well known, or given enough time of day, due to either people not knowing, or just glossing over.  One of those 'diamonds in the rough' that I recently was made aware of is 'Castlevania' on Netflix. There's only two seasons of the animated series, and I basically binged watched season 1 yesterday with the Hubby.  And seriously, if you haven't seen this animated series, it really is damned good. I Want a Refund

Hello!! O.k, so no I haven't disappeared yet again on you guys, but last week was eventful since, my In-Laws decided to come for an entire week for a much needed family vacation in my neck of the woods. It was a roller coaster, with up's & down's, but overall we all had an enjoyable experience. Except for Friday... On this day, we decided as a family to finally go see Avengers: Endgame  in theaters. So, my husband, along with my MIL, FIL & daughter (and I of course) headed to the movies. In advance, we reserved our tickets, with reserved seating (it was an IMAX theater) and off we went. We decided that we would do one of the last showings just because we already knew that it was a 3 hour long movie, so, we were o.k with that. The movie theater was not full (due to maybe time, etc). So, we went up, took our seats and prepared to be wowed. Maria Rivas/Instagram Nope, we got annoyed. We had noticed that in our same row, there was another small group of
