D.C.: Surprising us left & right.

As of late there have been so many news worthy events going on, but I have so little time to cover them all!

So, let's start, shall we?

We get our cake and can eat it too!!

On the eve of the release date for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, the entire internet world was treated by Lego/DC/WAG to release a teaser trailer to the upcoming Lego Batman Movie.

And Holy Smokes, what a treat it was!!

Dare I say that when I saw the teaser I got far more excited than tomorrow's release?!

It looks charming, funny and entertaining, and I was thrilled to find out that Will Arnett will be reprising his role as Bruce/Batman. There's also high hopes because the same team tht worked on The Lego Movie is onboard with this project as well.

The only bad news is that the movie will not be out until 2017, but from what we've been teased, it looks promising.

I leave you with the link for your enjoyment:

In other D.C./Batman news...

A newly released picture of Wonder Woman's fellow Amazonian sisters was made public today.

Although I have mixed feelings about Dawn of Justice  and the upcoming Wonder Woman solo movie, I'm also excited to see director(s) interpretation of an iconic character.

Part of of my mixed feelings is with casting. I still am hesitant about Ben Affleck being able to pull Bruce Wayne/Batman, and also Jessie Eisenberg as Lex Luthor (I have not read ANY of the critic's reviews, which I will be addressing in this post).

I also have had mixed emotions when Gal Gadot was announced as being cast as Wonder Woman/Diana.

I understand that it is up to interpretation with each director, but I honestly think that Gal Gadot was cast mostly because she is pretty and not so much because she fit into the 'Amazoning prototype.' Now, before you accuse me of double standards, blah, blah, let me explain.

Is Wonder Woman portrayed as beautiful and exotic, YES, however BEAUTY is not the only quality that she possess. First and foremost, she is a WARRIOR, trained for combat, who has a muscle toned figure, physical and inner strength. She has high convictions and has a sense of inner worth.

To be frank, Gal Gadot looks like she can easily break.

That's not the point, the point is I feel like Gal Gadot was only picked for her looks, and they overlooked all the other qualities that the character possess in order to make me really want to believe that she is Wonder Woman.

I do hope that I am wrong and that Gal Gadot along with the rest of the cast/crew can make an epic Wonder Woman stand alone film, because she's WORTH it and DESERVES it.

Either way, I leave you with the link (picture included) of Wonder Woman's Amazonian sisters:

Bad reviews+Bribes= Disney conspiracy?

Here's what I want to address, I came across an article that mentioned that throughout the Internet, angry fanboys have been lashing out at critics reviews of Dawn of Justice and how it somehow leads to a big Disney/Marvel conspiracy.

Apparently critics were bribed by Disney/Marvel to have the writers give bad reviews so the movie would fail somehow.

Let me just say, W T F?!?!?!

My question would be to these fanboys, what would Disney/ Marvel gain from all of this? Besides, what if film critics didn't like it?! They are free to say so in whatever platform they choose to express themselves.

For those of you who have had the opportunity to see it before us, mere mortals...

I have one question: did YOU like it?

If your answer is Yes, who else's opinion matters after that?

Anywhoo, I will leave you the article below:

Gotta Run Away Fast.

We've all seen the trailers for the upcoming release of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu  and most of us have gotten excited to see our favorite Pokemon come to life (CGI, of course) on the big screen. One of the most iconic Pokemon have been Pikachu, and what we've seen, he is stinkingly adorable in anime form or live-action. The animation for the CGI was well handled for what we've been able to gather from the trailers. digitalspy.com So, it makes sense that other production companies want to cash in the nostalgia fever and releases their own spin on classic icons of classic games. But, what in the HECK are you guys thinking at Paramount?!?! About a day ago or so, the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog movie was release, and let me tell you, Sonic looks like something that was brought from the darkest pits of hell. Seriously, what were the animators thinking?! It's not cute, nor endearing, or even worth of the namesake. Newsweek.com Whatever that was, it was...

I Want a Refund

Hello!! O.k, so no I haven't disappeared yet again on you guys, but last week was eventful since, my In-Laws decided to come for an entire week for a much needed family vacation in my neck of the woods. It was a roller coaster, with up's & down's, but overall we all had an enjoyable experience. Except for Friday... On this day, we decided as a family to finally go see Avengers: Endgame  in theaters. So, my husband, along with my MIL, FIL & daughter (and I of course) headed to the movies. In advance, we reserved our tickets, with reserved seating (it was an IMAX theater) and off we went. We decided that we would do one of the last showings just because we already knew that it was a 3 hour long movie, so, we were o.k with that. The movie theater was not full (due to maybe time, etc). So, we went up, took our seats and prepared to be wowed. Maria Rivas/Instagram Nope, we got annoyed. We had noticed that in our same row, there was another small group of ...

Sink your teeth into Castlevania.

It is almost February and within the time that I've been missing, there have been so many news, that it is kind of hard to talk to you guys about everything. Lately, I must admit that I've been in a weird funk of watching interesting shows, movies, that are not necessarily in everyone's radar. Yes, I could talk about the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, or anything else that has been buzzing around the internet. But lately, with all the nay-sayers, I've kinda gotten into this funk of finding lost treasure in shows that might not be well known, or given enough time of day, due to either people not knowing, or just glossing over.  One of those 'diamonds in the rough' that I recently was made aware of is 'Castlevania' on Netflix. There's only two seasons of the animated series, and I basically binged watched season 1 yesterday with the Hubby.  And seriously, if you haven't seen this animated series, it really is damned good. (See w...
