Party on Foolish Mortals!!

Hello my kiddies and yes, it is I once again, bringing you news around our kingdom.

It is almost that time of year again when people are starting to bring out their spooky décor and making plans to celebrate Halloween.

Many people are either looking forward to private parties, amusement parks, etc., but what if you are a dwelling citizen of our Geeky kingdom and the conventional outlets do not inspire you?

Do not fret because I've compiled a couple of evens (SoCal area) that may be of interest to you guys!

If, you aren't anywhere near the East coast and are not attending NYCC ( which is on it's second day as we speak) and don't want to miss on one con this year, may I suggest, Stan Lee's Find Con, also formerly known as Comikaze!

Yes, like each year, it will be hosted at the L.A. Convention Center on Oct. 28th through the 30th.

This is an awesome that caters to many different likings. It is for couples, solos and parents (Halloween day, they have the kids trick or treat). Children under 12 years of age have free entry with paid adult tickets. It is an amazing atmosphere filled with displayers, vendor booths, special guest/panels. I had the opportunity to assist last year, and it is truly worth it. So, if you're looking for a great Con to assist, this one is it!

Are cons not your cup of tea?  Do not panic because, just like Free Comic Book Day, participating local comic shops celebrate Halloween with Halloween Comic Fest 2016. This gives them an incredible opportunity for them to do raffles, special events by bringing local and known artists to their shops. It is an incredible way to help your local shop while celebrating the day. Now beware that because not all comic shops participate in this event, make sure you find which ones are, when she the time they are starting that way you don't end up going with your elaborate Nightwing costume and feeling like a total football, lol.

Are you guys still not interested in these events? Well for Disney/Tim Burton fans there is a treat doing up because for a limited engagement of October 28th at the Hollywood Bowl there will be a special event of The Nightmare Before Christmas, over with the singing voices of Danny Dorian and Catherine O'Hara reprising their roles. For sure it is a perfect way to spend your evening celebrating Halloween by enjoying a live performance of one of Tim Burton's masterpieces.

Gotta Run Away Fast.

We've all seen the trailers for the upcoming release of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu  and most of us have gotten excited to see our favorite Pokemon come to life (CGI, of course) on the big screen. One of the most iconic Pokemon have been Pikachu, and what we've seen, he is stinkingly adorable in anime form or live-action. The animation for the CGI was well handled for what we've been able to gather from the trailers. digitalspy.com So, it makes sense that other production companies want to cash in the nostalgia fever and releases their own spin on classic icons of classic games. But, what in the HECK are you guys thinking at Paramount?!?! About a day ago or so, the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog movie was release, and let me tell you, Sonic looks like something that was brought from the darkest pits of hell. Seriously, what were the animators thinking?! It's not cute, nor endearing, or even worth of the namesake. Newsweek.com Whatever that was, it was...

I Want a Refund

Hello!! O.k, so no I haven't disappeared yet again on you guys, but last week was eventful since, my In-Laws decided to come for an entire week for a much needed family vacation in my neck of the woods. It was a roller coaster, with up's & down's, but overall we all had an enjoyable experience. Except for Friday... On this day, we decided as a family to finally go see Avengers: Endgame  in theaters. So, my husband, along with my MIL, FIL & daughter (and I of course) headed to the movies. In advance, we reserved our tickets, with reserved seating (it was an IMAX theater) and off we went. We decided that we would do one of the last showings just because we already knew that it was a 3 hour long movie, so, we were o.k with that. The movie theater was not full (due to maybe time, etc). So, we went up, took our seats and prepared to be wowed. Maria Rivas/Instagram Nope, we got annoyed. We had noticed that in our same row, there was another small group of ...

Sink your teeth into Castlevania.

It is almost February and within the time that I've been missing, there have been so many news, that it is kind of hard to talk to you guys about everything. Lately, I must admit that I've been in a weird funk of watching interesting shows, movies, that are not necessarily in everyone's radar. Yes, I could talk about the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, or anything else that has been buzzing around the internet. But lately, with all the nay-sayers, I've kinda gotten into this funk of finding lost treasure in shows that might not be well known, or given enough time of day, due to either people not knowing, or just glossing over.  One of those 'diamonds in the rough' that I recently was made aware of is 'Castlevania' on Netflix. There's only two seasons of the animated series, and I basically binged watched season 1 yesterday with the Hubby.  And seriously, if you haven't seen this animated series, it really is damned good. (See w...
